Pam Gates, interim dean of CMU's College of Humanities and Social and Behavioral Sciences, right, and Shannon Martin, director of the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe's Ziibiwing Center, sign transfer documents for the remains of 144 Native American ancestors, which were repatriated from CMU's Museum of Cultural and Natural History and buried in the tribe's Nibokaan Ancestral Cemetery.

 

 

Students from Mount Pleasant High School lined the street to pay respects as the procession passed.
