During the 2013-2014 year, the inaugural students enrolled in the College of Medicine have been very busy developing organizations and activities to fit a wide variety of medical interests, as well as actively participating in existing CMU organizations. Incoming students have the opportunity not only to join these established groups but also coordinate efforts through the Student Affairs Office to expand upon these opportunities with any other areas of interest.
Central Michigan University provides students with opportunities to become involved in more than 240 student organizations, with graduate students frequently participating. Activities outside the classroom are an integral part of the total development process.
A wide range of interests can be pursued through organizations that focus on social issues, student governance, pre-professional development, entertainment, community service, hobbies, club sports or religion. Involvement in student organizations is an excellent way to develop leadership skills.
