Enrollment checklist

Step 1:  Establish your CMU connection

Set up your CMU Global Identification and e-mail account. To access this account you will need your unique PIN, which is included in your admittance packet. For your convenience, much of our official communication will be sent to you via e-mail.  What is my Global ID?

Step 2:  Secure your financial resources

To begin the process, you must file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). It is available after Jan. 1 from your high school counselor or any college financial aid office, as well as online at fafsa.gov. Call the CMU Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid toll free at 888-392-0007 if you have questions or need any help.

Step 3:  Reserve your place for orientation

Instructions for reserving your academic orientation date will be sent beginning in late January to students starting classes in the fall semester and beginning in November to students starting classes in the spring semester. During your academic orientation session you’ll register for your first semester of classes, meet with your academic advisor and receive your campus identification card.

Step 4:  Reserve your housing

Information for reserving your residence hall room will be sent beginning in February to students starting classes in the fall semester and beginning in November to students starting classes in the spring semester. Among the benefits of living in one of our residence halls, you’ll have opportunities to meet with academic advisors right where you live and enjoy flexible and convenient dining options and fitness facilities.
